Dear Partners in the Gospel

I trust that you are all doing fine & that the year has gone well for you so far. During January & February, I took a small team to India. We visited many towns & villages in our mission field. During that time more than 100 people decided to trust Jesus Christ as Saviour & Lord of their lives. Team members were myself, Mrs Linda Fulton of Nelson, & 13 year old Taela McCormack of Opotiki, my granddaughter. Linda had a desire to preach, & her time in India gave her opportunity to do that for the first time. Since returning to Nelson she’s been able to continue to use her giftings. Highlights of the trip for Linda were: seeing new believers baptized, & marching & singing through village streets with them on the way to the river. This march is a public declaration of a decision to follow Christ. Linda also decided to sponsor a motherless boy, Matthew. For Taela it was an amazing experience to live with children of another culture. She has been writing to our Grace Home children for several years, so it was a great joy for them to meet. Taela used her musical giftings to lead children’s singing, & taught some new songs. She also taught some of the girls sewing skills & led a poster-making session with all the children. For Ruth(15), it was the first time she’d ever drawn a picture! Taela also taught the children some outdoor games. Altogether it was a life-changing time for her.

For me, one of the highlights was being greeted at Tangellamudi village by a happy mother. We’d prayed for her in 2004, as she was married 12 years & barren. She soon became pregnant & God blessed her with a lovely son! What a mighty God we serve!! It’s great to actually see how He works when we pray!

Another highlight was the great privilege of baptizing 5 of our teenagers along with Taela. Also: the amazing welcome given us at Kavvur - almost the whole village came to the outreach service .There was such an excitement & they covered us in flowers of welcome.

GRACE HOME : We dedicated the new hostel ,& the children have since moved in. We now have room for 50 children. Currently there are 31, & all are looking very happy & healthy. Your sponsorship of Grace children is a great investment for the future destiny of their lives!

RECENT DONATIONS  that are making a big difference at Grace Home include: Water-pipe bringing clean drinking water- no more children carrying heavy containers!! Sewing machine - children now having tailoring classes, with the aim to start a small business. Guitar - teenage girls & boys will have lessons & then lead Church singing & outreaches. Blankets for new children; Colloidal Silver Generator;  sponsorship of boy Aids victim; 30 tubes of toothpaste were donated by a wonderful dentist in Guntur.

PASTORS : All our Pastors continue their faithful service to the Lord. Four new Pastors recently joined our network, & two have already been sponsored by a Nelson electronics firm. Recently Pastor Amose was involved in a traffic accident & has suffered two broken limbs. Please pray for a fast recovery for him, & for others to help with his work in Kavvur. A new bicycle has been donated for Pastor Jabez, which will be a great asset for his ministry.

HANDS UP PROJECT : Buffalos continue to produce offspring & milk! A Kiwi couple recently donated funds for a young woman crippled by polio to start a shop in her village. What a wonderful gift this is, to give Beulah a future & a hope for her life!! This is God’s love in action!! A poverty-stricken family has also received a loan to begin a small business. Our team took 100 pairs of reading spectacles donated by Kiwis, which were gladly received by needy people.

YOUR GIFTS are CHANGING LIVES!! THANK YOU!!
