Welfare and Hands Up
The Hands Up program seeks to make the recipient financially independent, by providing the means to earn or create income.

buffalo.jpgSelf Sufficiency: Grace Home now has 5 buffalo, and is therefore self sufficient in the supply of milk. We've employed a (formerly) homeless old man to care for the animals, and built a small home for him on-site. He receives his meals at Grace Home

She will supply milk to the orphanage, and sell excess milk for her own income. Her home is a single roomed mud hut with no electricity. She takes field work when its available, but she is very weak and undernourished, so we gave her multivitamins

linda.jpgAIDs Virus: Linda has 'adopted' this child who lost both parents to AIDs. Little Anand has also contracted the virus and is being cared for off-site by his Grandmother (pictured). Linda's sponsorship will provide medicine and food for both of them.
